Morris Ambrose was a four-year letter winner and two-year captain for the men's soccer team. He earned multiple All-District honors from the Virginia Intercollegiate Soccer Association (VISA) and was twice a Regional All-American. Morris Ambrose recorded 37 career goals, third at the time of graduation and currently fifth in program history. He amassed 17 career assists (second at graduation, currently 10th) and 91 career points (third at graduation, currently seventh). Morris Ambrose became a successful youth and professional coach in Colorado. He was founder, owner and manager of Boulder Indoor Soccer and Longmont Indoor Soccer from 2003 to now. He was founder, owner, general manager and coach of USL/PDL franchise Boulder Nova plus Boulder Rapids Reserve plus Colorado Rapids Under 23 from 1999 to 2009. The team went 134-24-17 and was a North American finalist in 2002 and 2004. The USL franchise developed 57 players who would go on to sign professional contracts and 14 players competed for the U.S. National Team. From 1997-2007, Morris Ambrose was the head soccer coach at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1997-2007, setting a record for most wins in a decade. Morris Ambrose was a three-year letter winner in tennis, posted a mark of 25-10 in singles and 20-11 in doubles.
