  • The Yellow Jackets’ only three losses came by one point at Virginia State and twice to eventual national champion Old Dominion.

  • Fletcher Johnson scored 52 points in a 108-75 road victory at Catholic on Feb. 3.
  • Opened the NCAA Tournament on March 7 with a 64-60 victory over defending national champion Morgan State, which featured future NBA lottery pick Marvin Webster.
  • Johnson finished his career as Randolph-Macon’s all-time leading scorer with 2,216 points.
  • Paul Jez ranks second in program history with 747 career assists.
  • Four players from the team surpassed 1,000 career points, all before the introduction of the three-point line.
  • Nine members of the 1974-75 team have been inducted into the Randolph-Macon Hall of Fame.
  • Hall of Fame members include head coach Paul Webb, who recorded 315 career victories with the Yellow Jackets, and assistant coach Hal Nunnally.
