Wilson was a four-year manager for the RMC men's basketball team under head coach Hal Nunnally. During his final three seasons, the Yellow Jackets won two conference titles and made three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Following graduation, he was RMC's Sports Information Director for three years. Wilson has served as a committee member and chair of the RMC Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee. He is the former President of the Yellow Jacket Club. Wilson has been a generous benefactor to multiple programs at RMC. He has done public address announcing and broadcasting for many Yellow Jacket teams. He was the recipient of the Susan Donavant Alumni Award in 2019 and the Kurt Axe Award in 2023. Wilson is in his 24th season as a broadcaster for men's basketball and in his 17th season with football.
