SALEM, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team won three singles matches and one doubles match in a 5-4 ODAC loss at Roanoke Saturday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (12-2, 8-1 ODAC) won the top three singles matches. Senior Angelina Sportelli (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 Singles. Sophomore Kelsie Grice (Hoover, Ala./Charlotte Country Day) had a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 2 Singles. Sophomore Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./Prince George) rolled at No. 3 Singles 6-1, 6-0.
Freshmen Sarah Hinson (Nashville, N.C./Northern Nash) and Hannah Trueblood (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette) earned an 8-6 win at No. 3 Doubles.
Due to expected rain in the Ashland area, Randolph-Macon will play at Washington and Lee on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
