ASHLAND, Va. - In their first season playing together, junior Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and freshman Victoria Updike (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) have been tabbed as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Second-Team Second Doubles Team of the Year.

This is the first all-conference honor of Letellier's career. Additionally, Updike becomes the first RMC freshman to be named in the all-conference awards since Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) were listed as the All-ODAC Second Team First Doubles pairing for the 2022-23 season.

En route to helping the Yellow Jackets earn their 16th consecutive ODAC Postseason Tournament berth with a 9-8 (5-4) record, Letellier and Updike finished 10-5 on the season. Furthermore, in the regular season, the pairing went 6-2 in conference play to lead the Lemon and Black. The duo also had an incredible start to the season, as they won six of their first seven matches.

They recorded two 6-0 sweeps this season in back-to-back matches, while only letting one contest go to a tiebreak. Of their remaining seven wins, the second doubles team did not let their opponents win more than four games in five of them. In each of their 15 matches, Letellier and Updike took at least one game, as they closed their regular season by winning four of their last five matchups.
