8/24/2026 10:57:00 AM

ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph Macon Women's Tennis has released its schedule for the 2026-27 season, as Head Coach Sam Varner is set to enter his sixth season leading the program.

In each of their past five seasons, the Yellow Jackets have recorded a winning percentage greater than .500 and qualified for the ODAC Postseason Tournament. En route to earning its 16th consecutive berth in the tournament overall, RMC also reached the nine-win mark for its fourth season in-a-row.

The team opens its season at the Banks Tennis Center, for a home contest against Meredith on Sept. 19. The Yellow Jackets hold a 7-0 record all-time against the Avenging Angels, with RMC dropping only one court in each of its last two matches against MC.

The Lemon and Black close out their fall slate on the road with an individual match against Sweet Briar on the weekend of Oct. 2-3. RMC still holds a 10-9 advantage all-time against the Vixens as a team.

Reigning Old Dominion Athletic Conference Second-Team Second Doubles Team of the Year pairing of Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and Victoria Updike (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) highlight the Yellow Jackets entering the 2026-27 season. The duo finished 10-5 on the 2025-26 season, which included a stellar 6-2 record in conference play.

Randolph-Macon will continue its action in the spring of 2027, once the fall season has concluded. For further schedule updates, please visit rmcathletics.com.
