As a junior (2017): Did not appear.

As a sophomore (2016): Hinson played in three matches for the Yellow Jackets... She won her two singles matches versus Sweet Briar and Penn State Abington... She also won her doubles match 8-0 over Virginia Union.

As a freshman (2015): In her first season with the Yellow Jackets, Hinson posted a #5 singles record of 11-1...Hinson was undefeated in ODAC conference play...She was 9-1 at #3 doubles with partner Hannah Trueblood…Sarah was awarded Second Team All-ODAC honors.

Personal: Graduated from Northern Nash High School, where she earned 4 varsity letters in tennis and 2 in basketball...Hinson was named to the All-Conference Women's Tennis team all four years of high school, in addition to All-Region selections in 2011, 2012 and 2013...In 2012, she was honored as an All-State selection...Hinson was given her team's Coach's Award in 2010 and 2011 and was named Team MVP in 2012 and 2013...She was the Big East Conference Women's Singles Champion in 2012 and was both a regional and state qualifier in that same year...She was again a regional qualifier in 2013...In 2014, she was awarded the Hear of a Champion Award by the North Carolina Athletic Association for sportsmanship in women's tennis.

Off the court, Hinson was part of the National Honors Society in 2013 and 2014, and she was a Debu-ette Society Club member from 2010-2014...She was also a United Methodist Scholarship recipient in 2014 and 2015...Her great, great great grandfather John Kern was President of Randolph-Macon College from 1897-1899
