WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team lost just two games in the match in rolling past Trinity 9-0 Thursday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (4-0) won all six singles matches by 6-0, 6-0. No. 1 and No. 2 Doubles were 8-1, while No. 3 Doubles was 8-0.
Freshmen Sarah Hinson (Nashville, N.C./Northern Nash) and Hannah Trueblood (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette) were perfect at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, and combined for an 8-0 win at No. 3 Doubles.
Senior Angelina Sportelli (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) and sophomore Kelsie Grice (Hoover, Ala./Charlotte Country Day) won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and joined for an 8-1 win at No. 1 Doubles.
Sophomores Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./Prince George) and Molly Jesseman (Williamsburg, Va./Warhill) were victorious at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, and worked together for an 8-1 win at No. 2 Doubles.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Sunday, March 22 for a 3 p.m. road contest at William Peace.
