Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Senior goalkeeper Gatlin Snyder (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) registered a season-high 17 saves as the Randolph-Macon field hockey team dropped a 6-0 decision to second-ranked Johns Hopkins on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- The first quarter was a defensive struggle. Junior Catherine Magill (Moseley, Va./Trinity) had the first shot of the game four minutes in for the Yellow Jackets. The Blue Jays had penalty corners and shots in the seventh and ninth minutes, but both were blocked. JHU had its first shot on goal in the 11th minute that was saved by Snyder. Freshman Mia Kuhnle (Yorktown, Va./Tabb) had the final shot of the period in the 13th minute as the first quarter ended in a scoreless tie.
- JHU would dominate the second period, with a 24-1 advantage in shots. Snyder recorded 11 saves. The Blue Jays broke through in the 20th minute and added three goals in the final five minutes to take a 4-0 lead at intermission. Senior Lindsay Moore (Ashland, Va./Hanover) had the lone shot for the Yellow Jackets in the second quarter.
- The Blue Jays would add single goals in each of the final two quarters in posting the 6-0 win.
