The Basics
Score: Randolph-Macon 6, Transylvania 0
Venue: Nunnally Field
Records: Randolph-Macon 1-2, Transylvania 0-4
How It Happened
- The shots came early and often for the Yellow Jackets as they inundated Transylvania throughout the day. They finally broke through midway through the first quarter when Ambrogi-Torres scored on an assist from Sydney Duimstra (Sr., Montpelier, Va. / Deep Run).
- It was a sign of things to come as Ambrogi-Torres wasn't done. Five minutes into the second, she made the score 2-0 on an assist from Raegan Williams (So., Chesapeake, Va. / Western Branch). With 2:38 to go in the half, she scored her third of the game, this time with Bella McNulty (Fr., Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) providing the helper.
- The second half saw three more goals with two in the third and one more in the fourth. Alli Moore (So., Ashland, Va. / Hanover) and Alaina McCoy (Fr., Fredericksburg, Va. / Stafford) tallied the scores in the third. Anna Gale (Jr., Chesapeake, Va. / Great Bridge) put the finishing touches on the scoring just a minute into the fourth. All three were unassisted.
- Defensively the Jackets didn't face much trouble. Then they did, Gatlin Snyder (Sr., Powhatan, Va. / Powhatan) made the saves to keep Transy off the board. She played most of the game before giving way to Kelsey Seiler (So., Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) who combined for the shared shutout.
Inside The Numbers

Meanwhile the Pioneers best quarter came with four shots in the second. They were limited to one shot in the first and third, and were held without a shot in the fourth.
- Of the 31 RMC shots, 19 were on goal. Amborgi-Torres had five of them and six total shots on the day.
- RMC also held the advantage on penalty corners by an 8-4 count.
- Ambrogi-Torres has had an incredible year going back to the spring season. She now has 10 goals in her last eight games, and has four in the past two games.
