TOWSON, Md. – Sophomores Kelsie Grice (Hoover, Ala./Charlotte Country Day) and Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./Prince George) both recorded singles victories as the Randolph-Macon women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Goucher Wednesday afternoon.
Grice and freshman Hannah Trueblood (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette) lost in a tie-breaker at No. 1 Doubles as the Gophers won all three doubles points.
Grice won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 Singles and Tomlin rallied to win at No. 2 Singles 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Goucher won the final three singles matches in three sets to pull out the victory.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Thursday, April 2 for a 2 p.m. home ODAC match against Virginia Wesleyan at the Banks Tennis Center.
