ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon Field Hockey has announced its schedule for the fall of 2026, following a 12-7 (5-3) 2025 season that saw the Yellow Jackets reach 12 wins for the first time since 2010.
Head Coach
Jessica Weiss begins her 11th season at the helm of the team, with the schedule consisting of eight home contests and nine on the road.
For the fifth consecutive season, the Lemon and Black will open their year with a contest against McDaniel, as they look to defeat the Green Terror for the third season in-a-row.
After the road matchup on Sept. 1, the Yellow Jackets return to Nunnally Field for a four-game homestand, beginning on Sept. 5. RMC will host Catholic and Barton, before facing off against Hood and New Paltz on Sept. 12-13. Just last season, Randolph-Macon defeated both Catholic and Barton, with its win against the Bulldogs coming in the form of a 3-0 shutout.
The Lemon and Black return to the road for their next four games, with the first coming against a 2025 NCAA Tournament Division III team. On Sept. 17, RMC travels to St. Mary's City, Md., to take on St. Mary's College of Maryland. Its next game against Meredith will be played on Sept. 20, as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Avenging Angels 3-1 just a season ago. The remaining two games of the road trip will be played on Sept. 24 and 30 against Lancaster Bible and Mary Washington.
RMC returns home to open ODAC play on Oct. 3 with a game against Lynchburg. The Hornets emerged as the 2025 conference champions and reached the second round of the NCAA postseason tournament. The team remains at home to take on Batten on Oct. 7 for a midweek night matchup.
The Yellow Jackets' next two games are on Oct. 10 and 14 against Sweet Briar and Eastern Mennonite. In 2025, RMC faced the Royals and Vixens in back-to-back matchups and turned in consecutive shutouts.
The final four games of the regular season are split with two at home and two away. Randolph-Macon welcomes two difficult opponents into Ashland in Washington and Lee and Shenandoah on Oct. 21 and 24. On Oct. 28, the Yellow Jackets travel to battle Bridgewater, which represents a pivotal rematch from last season. In 2025, RMC defeated BC 1-0 in the ODAC Quarterfinals to clinch its first conference semifinals appearance since 2013. The 2026 regular season concludes with a contest against Roanoke on Halloween, with the ODAC Tournament starting on Nov. 3.
