ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon used a sweep in the doubles point and two tiebreakers in singles matches to dominate Marymount, 7-0.

Doubles
Layla Gaines (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) and Madison Barrick (Desert Hot Springs, Calif./Palm Springs) started hot at third doubles, jumping out to a 3-0 lead, but the second doubles pairing, Salomea Tchantouridze (Barre, Vt./U-32) and Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) finished first, claiming a 6-1 victory. Gaines and Barrick would go on to win, 6-3, locking up the doubles point. Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and Victoria Updike (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) battled hard and used powerful serving to win, 6-4, and secure the doubles sweep for the Yellow Jackets

Singles
Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) dominated at first singles, not dropping a game. Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and Updike claimed victory over their opponents shortly after Thurman. Mary Blair Seward (Claremont, Va./Appomattox Regional Governor's School) secured the match victory for the Lemon and Black at fifth singles with a flawless second set. Brielle Baughman (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic) split her first two sets but prevailed in the third set tiebreak. To cap the evening, freshman Campbell Andrulot (Baldwin, Md./Dulaney) came back after dropping her first set, 7-6, to force a third-set tiebreak, where she hit service stride and claimed the 7-0 match sweep for RMC.
