ASHLAND, Va. – The Yellow Jackets saw the Hornets earn games in each of the three doubles matches, along with three singles matches going to tiebreaks, en route to an exciting 5-2 win at home.

Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and
Victoria Updike (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) led the way for the Lemon and Black in the doubles point, locking down a 6-3 win at second singles.
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and
Salomea Tchantouridze (Barre, Vt./U-32) helped their second-doubles duo to clinch the doubles point, with a 6-4 win at third doubles.

Singles
The Lemon and Black saw three of their matches go to a tiebreak in the afternoon faceoff. Updike was able to come through for her squad, clinching a tiebreak win at third doubles. Thurman, Letellier and Tchantouridze were all able to grab wins, pushing Randolph-Macon to a clutch 5-2 win in the match.
