ASHLAND, Va. - Head Coach Josh Merkel has announced the hire of Wyatt Hockenberry as the Nunnally Assistant Coach on the Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball staff.
Hockenberry comes to Randolph-Macon from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, playing his high school basketball at Unionville. From there, he went on to play a season at Elizabethtown College before finishing his career with three seasons at Marymount University. While at Marymount, he was named a team captain twice, also earning First Team All-Conference honors in the Atlantic East. Hockenberry helped Marymount win two straight Atlantic East championships. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in business administration, he went on to serve as a Graduate Assistant at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.Â
Beyond his playing career, Hockenberry has worked as a skills trainer in the greater Philadelphia area since 2021 with HyIQ. He has worked with athletes ranging from elementary school to professional.
