ASHLAND, Va. – For the seventh consecutive season, Randolph-Macon Men's Basketball has been ranked in the D3hoops.com Preseason Top 25 Poll. After a 24-5 campaign in 2024-25, the Yellow Jackets slot in at number two in the poll with a first place vote, marking the fifth time in the last six years that RMC has been placed in the preseason top 10.
Last season, RMC finished the year 24-5 overall and 15-1 in ODAC play, capturing back-to-back ODAC regular season crowns. The Yellow Jackets were on the road for the NCAA tournament the first weekend, defeating Westfield State in the first round and fell to Catholic (DC) in the second round.
The Lemon and Black will square off with five teams in the preseason top 25. They will first take on No. 9 Christopher Newport on the road Nov. 12. Randolph-Macon will host (RV) Yeshiva on Nov. 15. No. 17 Hampden-Sydney and No. 10 Roanoke will be welcomed into Crenshaw Gym on Dec. 3 and 6. The Yellow Jackets will play a home and home with No. 14 Virginia Wesleyan on Jan. 21 and Feb. 18. The team will head to Hampden-Sydney on Feb. 4 and No. 15 Mary Washington will come to Ashland on Feb. 7.
The 2025-26 campaign will open on Nov. 7 as Randolph-Macon will play Eastern at the Gettysburg Tipoff Tournament, hosted by Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa.
