ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team saw impressive performances out of both first and third singles and a win in two of three doubles matches in a 4-3 home loss to Guilford.

Doubles:

The Yellow Jackets won two out of three doubles matches, Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) won a close and clutch 7-6 game in first doubles.  Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) finished off second doubles with a dominant win to secure the 1-0 overall match lead.

Singles:

In singles, the Yellow Jackets got wins in first and third singles to gain the two points. Thurman and Letellier won both their singles matches in dominant fashion to gain two more points for Randolph-Macon. Guilford would win the final four singles matches to take home the overall match victory 4-3.
