Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and the third doubles team to highlight the Yellow Jackets. The Lemon and Black would clinch the #8 seed in the upcoming conference tournament, starting with the quarterfinal matchup with Washington and Lee.

In third doubles,
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and
Brielle Baughman (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic) took home the victory to give the Lemon and Black a win in doubles play. The Yellow Jackets second doubles team of
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and
Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) took their opponents to extra points, but ultimately fell 7-6. Virginia Wesleyan would win two out of three doubles matches to take an overall match team lead of 1-0.

Singles:
In singles, the Yellow Jackets got a win in #1 singles by Thurman to grab a point for the team score. The junior defeated her opponent in thrilling fashion, using a clutch first set win with a 7-5 scoreline. Mowry and Baughman both sent their matches to a third and deciding third set in #2 and #5. In those matches the Marlins would hold on to take wins over the Yellow Jackets.
Virginia Wesleyan would defeat the Lemon and Black by winning 5-out-6 singles matches to win overall 6-1.
