ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team saw impressive performances out of both first and second singles and a clutch win in fourth singles to carry the Yellow Jackets over Lynchburg 4-3.

The Yellow Jackets won all three doubles matches in dominant fashion to take the overall match lead 1-0.

Singles:
In singles, the Yellow Jackets got wins in first, second and fourth singles to gain the three points needed to win the match 4-3. Mowry was almost perfect in second singles, defeating her opponent and only giving up one point. Thurman was consistent in first singles with two set wins, defeating her opponents this week 4-0. Key was clutch in fourth singles to clinch the overall match for the Yellow Jackets.
Lynchburg would defeat the Lemon and Black in 3-out-6 singles matches.
