RALEIGH, N.C. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team showed two thrashing performances out of both third and sixth singles, defeating Meredith on the road 6-1.

The Basics

Doubles:

The Yellow Jackets won all three doubles matches, outscoring the Avenging Angels 18-4 and took the overall match lead 1-0. 

(RMC) Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) def. (MC) Osborne and Southern, 6-1 
(RMC) Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) def. (MC) Jablonski and Reilly, 6-1
(RMC) Layla Gaines (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) and Mary Blair Seward (Claremount, Va./Appomattox Regional Governor's School) def. (MC) Jackson and Bittler, 6-2

Singles:

In singles, the Yellow Jackets got wins in five out of the six total matches. Brielle Baughman (East Berlin, Pa./Delone Catholic) and Letellier were perfect in third and sixth singles, not allowing a single point against either of them. Reigning conference player of the week; Thurman continued her succes in first singles, defeating her opponent 12-1 overall. Meredith did get a win in fifth singles to grab its only point of the entire match.    

Randolph-Macon started spring break with a dominant road win, defeating the Avenging Angels 6-1.
