ASHLAND, Va. -  Women's lacrosse outscored Rowan 4-2 in the fourth quarter to try to mount a comeback, but fell to the Rowan in the midweek non-conference clash, 15-12.

How it Happened
	- It only took Randolph-Macon 19 seconds to take an early 1-0 lead with a quick draw control and goal from Senior Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester). Rowan recorded an equalizer 27 seconds later. Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) took advantage of the man-up opportunity and netted a goal with 10:27 left to play and Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) tallied a score 10 seconds later to give the Yellow Jackets a 4-1 lead. Rowan would storm back with three straight goals, two of which via free position shots to knot the contest at 4-4. Natalie Moul (Haymarket, Va./Battlefield) put the Jackets back up by one before the Profs would score in the final 20 seconds to tie the game at 5-5 heading into the second quarter. 
 
	- The second period's scoring started slower with goalkeeper Gillian Gladden (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) stuffing multiple close-range shots in the first five minutes. Anna Snoddy (Palmyra, Va./Fluvanna County) netted the first goal of the quarter with 9:33 to play. The Profs would eliminate the Jackets' lead once again to tie the game at six. At the 6:06 mark, Mittelstadter would regain the lead for the Yellow Jackets. Rowan scored again to tie the game at seven with 4:58 to play. Rowan took the lead heading into halftime scoring a man-up goal with 0:06 left to play. 
 
	- Rowan went up 9-7 with a man-up goal to start the third quarter. The Profs accrued a four-goal lead over the Jackets with goals at 10:03 and 9:54. At the 6:21 mark, Rowan netted their fourth goal of the third period. The Profs would score once more before Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) would respond within the final 10 seconds of the third quarter. Rowan held a 13-8 lead heading into the final 15 minutes.
 
	- The Profs picked up right where they left off scoring the first goal of the final quarter at the 11:28 mark. Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) added a goal with the help of a Campbell Conway (Annapolis, Md./St.Mary's) pass. Fowler recorded another point with an assist that led to Cami McNeally's second score of the evening to decrease Rowan's lead and make the score 14-10 with 5:10 left in the game. The Profs would quickly extend their lead back to five points but Evie McNeally would beat the defense to keep the deficit at four. Lowery assisted Evie McNeally's third goal of the game with 2:38 left in the match. Despite the Yellow Jackets outscoring the Profs 4-2 in the final period, Rowan fended off Randolph-Macon by a score of 15-12. 
 
Inside the Numbers
	- Fowler and Evie McNeally paced the Yellow Jackets with four points each. Evie McNeally tallied four goals on the night. Fowler contributed a goal and three assists.
 
	- Laila Omar (Annandale, Va./Falls Church) scooped up two ground balls and caused two turnovers. 
 
	- Lowery and Elaina Creekmore (Pasadena, Md./Old Mill) each recorded three points. Lowery scored a goal and assisted on two others. All three of Creekmore's points were assists.
 
	- Mittelstadter scored two goals and caused a turnover.
 
	- Cami McNeally scooped a ground ball and added two goals for the Yellow Jackets.
 
	- Snoddy, Conway, and Moul all tallied a point for the Lemon and Black.
