7/22/2026 10:11:00 AM

ASHLAND, Va. – Head Coach Emerson Foster has announced the hiring of Emma Wynne as the program's new assistant women's lacrosse coach.

Wynne joins the Yellow Jackets after spending the past two seasons at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where she served as the assistant women's lacrosse coach while also working as the director of club sports and intramurals.

During her time with the Lynx, Wynne helped guide Rhodes to the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. The coaching staff earned SAA Coaching Staff of the Year honors following the conference title season.

As the program's offensive coordinator, Wynne developed the team's offensive systems, prepared opponent scouting reports and managed in-game strategy, including draw control personnel. She also played a significant role in recruiting prospective student-athletes, maintaining relationships with recruits, families and club and high school coaches.

Under Wynne's guidance, Rhodes produced numerous all-conference and all-region selections, including three IWLCA All-Region players, seven First Team All-SAA selections, two Second Team All-SAA honorees and the conference's Midfielder, Defender and Goalkeeper of the Year during the 2026 campaign.

In addition to her collegiate coaching duties, Wynne co-founded 901 Elite Lacrosse, a girls' lacrosse program dedicated to expanding competitive opportunities and college recruiting exposure for student-athletes in the Memphis area. She designed and led practices while mentoring athletes and families through the college recruiting process and building relationships with collegiate programs across multiple levels.

Wynne also served as Rhodes' director of club sports and intramurals, advising 18 student organizations while overseeing scheduling, facilities, event planning and leadership development initiatives.

A 2024 graduate of Dickinson College, Wynne earned a bachelor's degree in educational studies. She was a four-year member of the women's lacrosse program and served as team captain during her senior season.
