Doubles:
The Yellow Jackets doubles earned a 1-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. Camila Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and won 6-0 in first doubles.
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) and
Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) took down the Mary Baldwin #2 doubles by a score of 6-0.
Claire Hassan (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) and
Mary Blair Seward (Surry County, Va./Appomattox) finished the doubles sweep with a 6-4 win.
Singles:
In singles play Randolph-Macon won in straight sets in each singles match.
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) dominated and would win 6-0,6-0, while
Layla Gaines (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) finished off the full match with a win with scores of 6-3 and 6-1.
