How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon started fast with a goal from Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md. Notre Dame Prep) only 52 seconds into the game. Caty Benton (Richmond, Va./Mills E. Godwin) added a score assisted by Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding). McDaniel responded with a free-position goal before an Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) goal increased the Jackets' lead. Freshman Reese Toth (Edgewater, Md./South River) netted her first career goal with 2:49 to play in the first quarter. Cami McNeally and Natalie Moul (Haymarket, Va./Battlefield) both contributed a goal to give the Yellow Jackets a 6-1 after the first 15 minutes.
- The Lemon and Black scored first in the second period with a goal from Campbell Conway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's). Conway found the net another time at the 2:46 mark. McDaniel's Paris Concord scored with :03 seconds left until halftime making the score 8-2.
- The Green Terror's Emily Ireland found the back of the net at the 10:34 mark to draw the Jackets within five. Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) assisted Benton to score her second goal of the game with 0:42 left in the 3rd.
- McDaniel scored 36 seconds into the fourth period before Evie McNeally re-extended the Jackets' lead to six with a 12th-minute goal. Kat Thayer scored for McDaniel with 9:51 to play. Cami McNeally recorded three straight goals to increase RMC's lead and Evie McNeally tallied another. Taylor Mittelstadter also contributed a score en route to a Yellow Jacket victory, 15-5.
