LEXINGTON, Va. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team fell in its opening match of the fall season, losing 7-0 to Washington and Lee Saturday afternoon on the road.

Doubles:
The Yellow Jackets lost a highly contested match in first doubles, as
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) fell to Annie Jennings and Haley Stoltz of Washington and Lee 6-3. The Generals managed to control the two other doubles matches to gain the opening point of the match.
Singles:
In singles, Mowry took a point in both sets off of Jennings in first singles to begin singles play.
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and
Claire Hassan (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) both scored a point in fourth and sixth singles in the first set to highlight the other singles matches. Washington and Lee would win all six singles matches to win each in straight sets.
