ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team ended the regular season with a senior day win over Virginia Wesleyan in ODAC action on Sunday morning to total an eleven win season.
The Yellow Jackets started the match with a sweep, totaling three wins in all doubles matches.
Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic),
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton),
Katie Sarnowski (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) both cruised to 8-1 victories in first singles and second singles. The Lemon and Black saw
Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) cap of the doubles sweep with an 8-4 win.
In singles, Randolph-Macon won four out of six matches to take the majority of matches to win the entire match 7-2 against the Marlins.
Adele Huffman (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian) and Mowry both had tough matchups in their individual matches. Each Yellow Jacket fought hard and took home three set matches in second and sixth singles to highlight the rest of the group. The Marlins took two singles matches but Randolph-Macon used the sweep in doubles to a senior victory to conclude the regular season.

- Randolph-Macon has won nine out of the last eleven matchups with Virginia Wesleyan, dating back to the 2014 season.
