WINCHESTER, Va. - The McNeally sisters, Evie and Cami, each net two goals as the Yellow Jackets come up short on the road against Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Shenandoah came out the gates firing on all cylinders as they would jump out to a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of play. RMC would strike back and cut the lead to just one thanks to two quick goals from Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep). But two unanswered goals by the Hornets in the last two minutes would see them take a 5-2 advantage going into the second period.
- The hosts looked to take full control of the game as they would score another goal to open the period to continue their run. The Hornets' run would finally be stopped after a goal from Sophomore Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forest School). With a little over a minute left in the second period, Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) scored to keep the Yellow Jackets in striking distance. The hosts would take a 7-4 lead into the halftime break.
- RMC looked to turn the game on its head as Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) would open the scoring in the second half. The early momentum for the Yellow Jackets would quickly flip to the Hornets after a goal of their own just a minute later. Shenandoah finished the third period scoring four unanswered goals and would take an 11-5 lead into the final frame of play.
- The Hornets would continue their run by opening the scoring in the final period, growing their advantage to seven goals. The Yellow Jackets wouldn't go down without a fight, as the McNeally sisters would combine for three goals to cut the hosts' lead to just four. But time would eventually run out for the Yellow Jackets, falling on the road to the Hornets 12-8.

- Six Yellow Jackets put their names on the score sheet. Evie and Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) both netted two, while Lowery, Moxham, Fowler, and Mittelstadter each added one.
