Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) recorded a career high in goals with six on the night to lead the Yellow Jackets to a dominant road win over Virginia Wesleyan 23-8.

How It Happened
- Virginia Wesleyan broke the ice first in less than two minutes into the game with a goal by Helen Kennedy-Butler to take an early lead. The Yellow Jackets responded with force in the final thirteen minutes of the first period, outscoring the Marlins 8-0. Evie McNeally led the way with a hat-trick in the period and her younger sister Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) added two goals of her own. Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep), Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) and Maggie Muldoon (Prince Frederick, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) all finished the period with a goal during the run, as Randolph-Macon took a commanding 8-1 lead.
- Jordyn Schwartz (Reistertown, Md./St. Paul's) and Bartley added two first minute goals of the second period to move the lead and scoring run to 10-1. The Marlins ended the drought of goals with one of their own by Kennedy-Butler with 13:44 remaining until halftime. Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) scored two straight goals and Bartley notched her third of the game to give the Lemon and Black their biggest lead of the first half at 13-2. The Yellow Jackets found two more goals by Muldoon and Bartley, while Virginia Wesleyan scored three times to bring the game to halftime with a 14-5 lead for Randolph-Macon.
- In the third period, Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) and Anna Snoddy (Palmyra, Va./Univ. of Lynchburg) both tallied two goals each and Muldoon added a fifth and final goal. The Randolph-Macon defense held the Marlins without a goal the entire period, allowing only one shot on goal that was saved by Gillian Gladden (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key). The Yellow Jackets mounted a 19-5 lead with fifteen minutes left.
- Randolph-Macon outscored the Marlins 4-3 in the final period and cruised to a dominating 23-8 victory on the road in Virginia Beach. Evie McNeally continued her onslaught of goals with three of the final four.
By The Numbers
- Evie McNeally ended the night with a career-high in goals with six overall. The junior was perfect from the field, scoring on all six of her shots on goal to total six points and added four draw controls.
- Bartley ended the game with three goals and two assists for five points. The senior also shot perfectly from the field, caused a turnover and had a draw control.
- Muldoon notched her first career hat-trick and also had an assist to total a career high four points.
- Cami McNeally, Mittelstadter, Fowler and Snoddy all scored twice in the game. All four of them managed to total eight goals on eight shots.
- Schwartz led the team in assists with four in the game and added a goal. Amanda Maxwell (Baltimore, Md./Loch Raven) and Lowery also scored one time in the game.
- Elaina Creekmore (Pasadena, Md./Old Mill), Amelia Davis (Davidsonville, Md./South River) and Caty Benton (Richmond, Va./Mills E. Godwin) all helped out with an assist each.
- Senior Emma Taylor (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) made three saves in thirty minutes to get the win. Ellen Stark (McLean, Va./Oakcrest) and Gladden each stopped one shot in the final thirty minutes.
