How it Happened
- Bartley opened the scoring for the Yellow Jackets, finding the back of the net within the first two minutes of the contest. Following two consecutive scores for Randolph-Macon, Maggie Hartnett responded with a goal to put the Quakers on the scoreboard. Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) recorded a hat trick in the first fifteen minutes. Maggie Muldoon added two goals in the first quarter. Taylor Middlestadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester), Amelia Davis (Davidsonville, Md./South River), and Kaleigh Mulligan (Dunkirk, Md. Northern) all finished the first period with a goal to contribute to Randolph-Macon's 9-1 lead.
- In the second quarter, Anna Snoddy (Palmyra, Va./Univ. of Lynchburg) continued the Yellow Jacket scoring, finding the net at the 13:48 mark. Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) added two goals to the Yellow Jackets' tally. Snoddy and Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) also scored to put the Yellow Jackets up 13-1. Randolph-Macon put on a defensive clinic in the second quarter, led by Gillian Gladden' (Taneytown, Md. Francis Scott Key) two saves on the only shots of the period for Guilford. In the final seconds of the period, Jordyn Schwartz (Reistertown, Md. St. Paul's) beat the buzzer with a goal to add to the Yellow Jackets lead.
- Randolph-Macon's dominance continued in the second half with goals from Fowler and Bartley to put the Jackets up 16-1. The Lemon and Black used four caused turnovers by different players to hold Guilford to without a goal in the third fifteen minute period.
- Cami McNeally, Mulligan, and Annie Pruitt (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) all scored in the final period en route to a convincing 19-1 Randolph-Macon victory.
