ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon womens tennis cruises in doubles and holds off Goucher in singles. The Yellow Jackets got three crucial doubles points and held off Goucher in singles to earn their fifth victory on the season. The Lemon and Black led 3-0 after three tightly contested doubles matches.
Katie Sarnowski (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) and
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) came back in 2
nd doubles finishing off their opponents 8-6 .The Gophers fought back in singles winning lines 2-5 before
Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) secured the fourth point in a third set tiebreaker.
Adele Huffman clinched the win at sixth singles 6-3, 6-1. The Jackets are now 5-1 heading into Sundays contest at home against Averett.
