Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) nets a game high four goals to help the Yellow Jackets win their season opener against Hood College at Day Field.

How it Happened
- Early on, the Yellow Jackets and Blazers would trade goals. Evie McNeally would score two of her four goals in the first period and Randolph-Macon would find themselves down 4-2 after 15 minutes of play.
- The Lemon and Black would have a huge response in the second period, as four different Yellow Jackets would put their name on the score sheet. Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) set the tone in the second with her goal being netted only 17 seconds into the period. The Yellow Jacket defense was also strong, as the Blazers were held scoreless for all 15 minutes of play. RMC would take a 6-4 lead into the locker room.
- The Yellow Jackets came out hungry in the second half and would extend their lead to four, thanks to back-to-back goals by Emma Moxham (Street, Md./Garrison Forest School) and Evie McNeally. After a late goal by the Blazers, RMC would claim a three goal lead heading into the final period of play.
- With all to play for, the Yellow Jackets would strike first with an unassisted goal by Cami McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) only 27 seconds into play in the final period. After one last goal from Hood, RMC would net two more to secure a win in their season opener at Day Field.

- RMC had two players score multiple goals. Evie McNeally netted four, while Bartley had two of her own.
- Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep) had a game high two assists.
- The Yellow Jackets recorded a total of 35 shots, while the Blazers only had 23.
- Cami McNeally and Emma Taylor (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) each tallied three ground balls.
- As a team, the Yellow Jackets recorded 10 caused turnovers.
- Senior net-minder Taylor also made 12 saves for RMC.
