Doubles:
The Yellow Jackets doubles earned a 1-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches.
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) and
Meckenzie Letellier (Alexandria, Va./Bishop Ireton) won 6-0 in first doubles.
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and
Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) took care of business in second doubles, 6-0.
Layla Gaines (Warsaw, Va./Rappahannock) and
Mary Blair Seward (Surry County, Va./Appomattox) finished doubles with another 6-0 win for the overall sweep in points 18-0.
Singles:
In singles play Randolph-Macon won in straight sets in third to sixth singles. Mowry secured her second win of the fall 6-1, 6-1 in the top flight.
Claire Hassan (Williamsburg, Va./Bruton) was a highlight in sixth singles with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory to cap off singles play in which the Lemon and Black won 72-3.
