ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team couldn't find its rhythm in the opening match of the fall season on Saturday, falling to No. 29 Washington and Lee at home at the Banks Tennis Center.

Match Stats
- The Generals showed why they started the season ranked in the top 30 in the nation, as Washington and Lee took home all the points allowed in the match. Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) were able to record four points at No. 1 doubles.
- In singles play, Thurman found two points in the first and second set in No. 1 singles, while Mowry found three points in the first set and one point in the second set in No. 2 singles. Becky Villeda (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) scored three points in the first set of her match.
