YORK, Pa. - The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team beat York College 5-4 on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets won two out of three doubles matches leaving with two points heading into singles play.
Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and
Elizabeth Key (Moseley, Va./Cosby) took care of business in second doubles with a 8-1 win.
Emma Turner (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) and
Becky Villeda (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) won 8-2 in third doubles.
Adele Huffman (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian),
Katie Sarnowski (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) both won their singles matches.
Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) won her singles match in a close game that went to a third set 14-12.
