ASHLAND, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team notched a 8-1 road victory against Roanoke College on Friday afternoon. RMC swept the doubles matches heading into singles up 3-0. Grace Holderman (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) and Matty Grace Gilliam (Murfreesboro, N.C./Ridgecroft) were impressive, only surrendering one game on way to an 8-1 victory at second doubles. In singles play, Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) had a comeback win 3-6, 6-3 10-6 at first singles. Katie Sarnowski (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) closed out a tough two set victory 6-3,7-5 at fourth singles. RMC moves to 14-2 heading into the final regular season match against Virginia Wesleyan University on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
