LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team secured a 9-0 shutout victory at home against Randolph College on Tuesday afternoon. RMC swept the doubles matches heading into singles, up 3-0. Grace Holderman (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) and Becky Villeda (Williamsburg, Va./Walsingham Academy) were impressive, only surrendering one game on their way to an 8-1 victory at second doubles. In singles play, Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at third singles. Camilla Thurman was the final match on the courts winning 6-4,6-2 at first singles which sealed the shutout win for the Yellow Jackets. RMC moves to 13-2 heading into an away ODAC match against Roanoke College on Friday at 4:00p.m.
