Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team secured a 5-4 victory on the road against Shenandoah on Monday afternoon. RMC found themselves down 2-1 after doubles play as Katie Sarnowski (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) and Adele Huffman (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian) won 8-2 at third doubles to keep RMC in hunt heading into singles play. Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles to even the match score at 2-2. The score was tied at 4-4 after Matty Grace Gilliam (Murfreesboro, N.C./Ridgecroft) won in straight sets at fifth singles 6-4, 6-3. Senior Grace Holderman (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) was able to clinch the match by winning 6-3, 7-5, winning her last two games to give the Yellow Jackets a victory on the road. RMC moves to 12-2 heading into tomorrow's contest at home against Randolph College at 4:00 p.m.
