ASHLAND, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon women's tennis team defeated Guilford College 8-1 on Senior Day. RMC swept doubles with Camilla Thurman (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) and Catherine Mowry (Lynchburg, Va./Liberty Christian Academy) winning at one doubles, 8-1. Senior Grace Holderman and freshman Becky Villeda won 8-4 at two doubles to complete the sweep. In singles play, Katie Sarnowski (Mechanicsville,Va./Atlee) cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Adele Huffmam (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian) tallied the final point at sixth singles winning 6-0 6-0. RMC moves to 11-2 heading into a tomorrow's contest on the at Shenandoah University at 3:00 p.m.
