Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – The Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team opened the season at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland on Saturday afternoon. They started the season well, dominating their way to a 17-7 win over the Blazers.

How It Happened
- Hood scored three of the first four goals of the game, but RMC got on the board after a goal by Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) to make it 2-1. The Yellow Jackets scored the final four goals of the quarter, including cashing in on an extra man opportunity with a goal by Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) assisted by Bartley.
- Hood scored the first goal of the second, but RMC once again finished strong by scoring the ensuing three goals, including the second of the day by Annie Bartley and Lilly Fowler (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep). The other goal was scored by Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County), as RMC held an 8-4 lead at half.
- RMC scored the first five goals of the third quarter, extending their run of eight straight goals in the game to break it wide open. Lilly Fowler added two more and Annie Bartley added another. Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) also picked up her hat trick goal to close the third frame, extending the lead to 14-6.
- McNeally added one more to begin the fourth, her fourth goal of the day, followed up by a man up goal by Amanda Maxwell (Baltimore, Md./Loch Raven) and another goal by Fowler to seal the win, 17-7.
By The Numbers
- RMC had three players with a hat trick in Fowler (five goals), McNeally (four), and Bartley (three). Five other players also scored on the day.
- Logan Schweiger and Annie Bartley both had two assists on the day.
- Taylor Middlestadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester), McNeally, and Abi Detrich (Federalsburg, Md./Easton) all had three ground balls on the afternoon.
- Detrich also led the way with three caused turnovers.
- RMC was 13-13 on clears and won 18 draws to Hood's nine.
