Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) recorded seven goals and one assist for eight points as the R-MC women's lacrosse team bolted to a 12-1 lead on its way to a 22-10 ODAC victory over Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- Sophomore Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin), freshman Evie McNeally (Severna Park, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and sophomore Amelia Davis (Davidsonville, Md./South River) all scored in the first seven minutes as the Yellow Jackets took a quick 3-0 lead. After a Marlin goal. McNeally added a second goal, followed by scores from junior Kayla Ross (Gambrills, Md./Arundel) and freshman Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) to make it 6-1 with six minutes left in the first period. Lowery had the final three goals of the first quarter as R-MC led 9-1 after one quarter.
- Bartley, Ross and junior Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) had the first three goals of the second period as the advantage grew to 12-1 with 9:39 remaining. VWU netted a second goal before Lowery added two goals and Bartley one as the Yellow Jackets went up 15-2 with three minutes left. The Marlins scored the final goal of the quarter as R-MC took a 15-3 advantage at halftime.
- Schweiger had the first goal of the third period before three VWU goals made it 16-6 with 8:30 remaining. Bartley took the lead back to 11 before the Marlins had the final goal of the quarter to make it 17-7.
- Senior Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) had the first goal of the fourth period one minute in before another VWU goal made it 18-8. Henderson scored again to push the lead to 19-8 with eight minutes left. After a Marlin goal, Lowery added another goal to make it 20-9 with 4:28 remaining. After a goal by VWU, Ross and Lowery scored in the final minute to make the final score 22-10.
By The Numbers
- Six Yellow Jackets had multiple goals. Along with seven by Lowery, Bartley had four, Ross had three, while Henderson, Schweiger and McNeally each had two.
- Schweiger and Davis both had two assists.
- Lowery topped R-MC with four draw controls and Henderson had three.
- Senior Italia Carnazza (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI) paced the victors with six ground balls.

- Sophomore Emma Taylor (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) had three saves in the first two quarters. Freshman Ellen Stark (Orefield, Pa./Oakcrest) registered two saves in the third period. Senior Caraline Cypher (Havre de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace) recorded one save in the fourth.
