Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – Freshman Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) led R-MC women's lacrosse with four goals and nine draw controls as the Yellow Jackets erased a four-goal halftime deficit but fell 14-11 at Lynchburg on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- The Yellow Jackets netted the first goal of the game, as junior Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) scored five minutes into the contest. The Hornets had the next two goals to lead 2-1 after one period.
- Lynchburg made it four straight goals as it got the first two in the second quarter to take a 4-1 lead with 13:22 remaining. Sophomore Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) scored for R-MC to stop the run. Following another Hornet goal, Lowery scored with 7:17 left to make it 5-3. Lynchburg had the final two goals of the half to take a 7-3 advantage at the break.
- R-MC would dominate the third period. Lowery, freshman Taylor Mittelstadter (Chesterfield, Va./Manchester) and junior Kayla Ross (Gambrills, Md./Arundel) all scored in the first five minutes of the quarter as the visitors pulled within one at 7-6. The Hornets got a goal to go back up two before Schweiger, Lowery and Mittelstadter all added goals to put the Yellow Jackets up 9-8 heading to the final period.
- Lynchburg tied it early in the fourth quarter before Schweiger netted her third goal to give R-MC a 10-9 edge. The Hornets had the next two scores to reclaim the lead before a goal by Lowery with nine minutes remaining tied it at 11-11. Lynchburg scored a man-up goal with 7:32 left to inch ahead 12-11. The Hornets added a goal less than a minutes later to go up 13-11. Lynchburg added its final goal with one minute left to make the final score 14-11.

- Three Yellow Jackets had multiple goals. Along with four by Lowery, Schweiger had three and Mittelstadter added two.
- Lowery finished with five points, as she also had one assist to go along with her four goals.
- Sophomore Rachel Gibson (Tracys Landing, Md./Southern) topped R-MC with six ground balls.
- Senior Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) had two caused turnovers.
- Senior Caraline Cypher (Havre de Grace, Md./Havre de Grace) registered 13 saves and had five ground balls.
