Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. – Sophomore Annie Bartley (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) recorded five goals as the R-MC women's lacrosse team fell 19-13 at Shenandoah on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened
- Freshman Rianna Lowery (Bel Air, Md./Notre Dame Prep) snagged the first draw control and fed junior Kayla Ross (Gambrills, Md./Arundel), who scored the first goal 16 seconds into the contest. The Hornets netted the next two goals before Lowery scored a man-down goal to even the score at 2-2 with 3:46 left in the first period. Junior Logan Schweiger (Church Hill, Md./Queen Anne's County) gave the Yellow Jackets a 3-2 lead one minute later. SU had the final goal of the quarter to make it 3-3 after one.
- SU had the first four goals of the second period before Bartley stopped the streak with seven minutes remaining to make it 7-4. Following a Hornet goal, senior Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) scored with five minutes left and Bartley added a goal 30 seconds later to make it 8-6. SU pushed the lead back to three before Bartley recorded her third goal with 1:30 remaining for a 9-7 deficit. The Hornets got the final goal of the quarter to lead 10-7 at intermission.
- Bartley scored on a free position shot two minutes into the third period to pull within two at 10-8. After a Hornet goal, sophomore Kaleigh Mulligan (Dunkirk, Md./Northern) scored on an assist by sophomore Amelia Davis (Davidsonville, Md./South River) to make it 11-9 with 9:17 remaining. SU got the next goal before Bartley scored to make it 12-10 with two minutes left. The Hornets had the final two goals of the quarter to go up 14-10.
- The Hornets had the first two goals of the fourth period before Lowery scored on an assist by Mulligan, making the score 16-11 with 13:12 remaining. SU added a goal before Ross answered with 10:30 left to make it 17-12. Schweiger scored with 9:45 remaining to cut the deficit to four at 17-13. The Hornets had the final two goals to make the final score 19-13.

- Four Yellow Jackets had multiple goals. Along with five by Bartley, Lowery, Ross and Schweiger each had two.
- Henderson led all players with 10 draw controls.
- Senior Italia Carnazza (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI) paced R-MC with two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
