- The Yellow Jackets started strong in doubles. In No. 2 Doubles, junior Isabella Boehling (Richmond, Va./Saint Gertrude) and freshman Margaret Allocca (Manakin-Sabot, Va./Saint Gertrude) posted an 8-0 win to give R-MC the first point of the match. Senior Sarah Seward (Claremont, Va./Appomattox Regional Governor's School) and senior Daniella Hafner (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) recorded an 8-3 victory at No. 1 Doubles.
- Junior Brianne Bock (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) earned the first win in singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 Singles. Freshman Matty Grace Gilliam (Murfreesboro, N.C./Ridgecroft) also lost just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 Singles. Freshman Adele Huffman (Granite Falls, N.C./University Christian) had a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. Singles to clinch the match victory.
- Senior Andrea Wine (King George, Va./King George) had a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 Singles. Sophomore Grace Holderman (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) had a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 1 Singles to close out the match.
