Box Score Raleigh, N.C. – Senior Bella Samper (Spring, Texas/Klein Oak) recorded six goals as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-12 decision at Meredith on Friday evening.

How It Happened
- The Avenging Angels had the first goal of the game before a pair of scores by Samper gave the Yellow Jackets a 2-1 edge nine minutes into the contest. Samper and junior Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) netted goals around a pair of Meredith goals R-MC led 4-3 with 5:40 left in the first half. Meredith scored three straight goals to go up 6-4 before a goal by senior Kaylyn Hewes (Linthicum, Md./North County) made it a one-goal game with 2:25 remaining. Two more goals by the Angels made it 8-5 before Samper and senior Erin Mattone (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) both scored in the final 31 seconds as the Yellow Jackets trailed 8-7 at intermission.
- Meredith scored five of the first six goals in the second half to take a 13-8 advantage eight minutes into the second period. Samper had the lone R-MC goal during that run. Samper's sixth goal made it 13-9. After an Angel goal, Henderson and freshman Amelia Davis (Davidson, Md./South River) both netted goals to make it 14-11 with 4:20 remaining. After a Meredith score, Mattone added the game's final goal to make it 15-12.
