How It Happened
- The Maroons had the first three goals of the game before senior Kaylyn Hewes (Linthicum, Md./North County) got the Yellow Jackets on the board with 19:25 left in the first half. Senior Bella Samper (Spring, Texas/Klein Oak), junior McKenzie Hynson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) and senior Taylor Sheppard (Queenstown, Md./Queen Anne's County) all added goals later in the period, but R-MC would trail 15-4 at halftime. Junior Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) assisted on Sheppard's goal.
- The Yellow Jackets had three of the first four goals in the second half. Webster assisted Samper, Webster scored her first goal and Webster converted a free position shot near the midway point of the second period. Samper assisted Webster on her third goal, a player-up goal with 11:38 remaining. RC would claim the 20-8 victory.
