SALEM, Va. – Senior Andrea Wine (King George, Va./King George) pulled out a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 6 Singles as the Randolph-Macon women's tennis team won its final singles matches to eke out a 5-4 victory at Roanoke on Sunday afternoon.

- Wine and senior Isabel Wadsworth (Lake Wales, Fla./Lake Wales) won 8-3 at No. 3 Doubles as the Yellow Jackets claimed the first point of the match. Junior Avery Smith (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) and sophomore Grace Holderman (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) had an 8-5 victory at No. 1 Doubles to give R-MC a 2-0 edge. The Maroons had an 8-7 win at No. 2 Doubles with a 9-7 tiebreaker to make it 2-1 heading to singles.
- Roanoke recorded wins at No. 3, No. 1 and No. 2 singles to take a 4-2 lead and pull within one point of a match victory. Senior Danielle Hafner (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) pulled out a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 4 Singles to cut into the deficit. Freshman Matty Grace Gilliam (Murfreesboro, N.C./Ridgecroft) had a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 5 Singles to even the match at 4-4. Wine was the difference at No. 6 Singles, outlasting her opponent 6-1, 7-5 for the thrilling 5-4 win for the Yellow Jackets.
