ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman Matty Grace Gilliam (Ahoskie, N.C./Ridgecroft) earned a win in singles in her collegiate debut as the Randolph-Macon women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 ODAC decision to Sweet Briar on Thursday afternoon to kick off the 2021 season.
Gilliam posted a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 Singles.
The Vixens swept the three points in Doubles before taking five Singles matches to claim the victory.
The Yellow Jackets return to the court on Saturday, March 13 for a 1 p.m. ODAC match at Washington and Lee.
