ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Tennis earned a win Saturday afternoon as the Yellow Jackets defeated Shenandoah 7-2 in both teams' conference opener.

Doubles
- At #1 Doubles, the Shenandoah duo of Jahveesha Combs and Lily Kimble bested R-MC's duo of senior Morgan Fuqua (Richmond, VA / Mills Godwin) and Kristin Dantzler (Williamsburg, Va. / York) 8-6.
- At #2 Doubles, R-MC earned a win from sophomore Avery Smith and senior Landon Aud (Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) as the pair won against Jada Lewis and Madison Rogers 8-5.
- Senior Courtney Jenkins (Yorktown, Va. / York) and freshman Grace Holderman (Roanoke, Va. / Cave Spring) won 8-3 against #3 Doubles foes Emma Crue and Caitlin Bennett.
Singles
- Combs was able to top Fuqua in a back-and-forth battle. The first set needed a tiebreaker, which Fuqua took 7-4 to win the frame 7-6. Combs then won the second set 6-2. That forced a ten-point tiebreak, which Combs won 1-0.
- Dantzler defeated Kimble at #2 with ease, winning 6-0, 6-1.
- Smith won at #3 Singles, defeating Lewis 6-2, 6-2.
- Aud took down Rogers 6-3, 6-3 to win at #4 Singles.
- Holderman earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at #5 Singles, defeating Crue.
- Jenkins rounded out the lineup with a win at #6 Singles against Bennett. The Yellow Jacket won 6-0, 6-1.
