Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Junior Bella Samper (Spring, Texas/Klein Oak) snapped a 6-6 tie with a goal late in the first half as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team pulled out a 16-10 victory over Baldwin Wallace on Saturday evening.

How It Happened
- Junior Erin Mattone (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) had the first goal of the game on an assist by junior Kaylyn Hewes (Linthicum, Md./North County) to give R-MC the early lead. The visiting Yellow Jackets tallied two goals. Senior Mary Castle (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) converted a free position shot to even the score at 2-2 five minutes into the contest. BW would have the next two goals before Mattone scored on an assist by junior Natalie Webster (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian). The visiting Yellow Jackets had two more goals to take a 6-3 lead with 12:27 left in the first half. R-MC would tally the next five goals. Castle had another free position shot, while sophomores McKenzie Hynson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) and Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) had unassisted goals to level the score at 6-6. Samper scored on an assist by Webster to give the home Yellow Jackets a 7-6 lead with seven minutes remaining, a lead they would not relinquish. Mattone assisted a goal by junior Taylor Sheppard (Queenstown, Md./Queen Anne's County) to give R-MC a two-goal lead. After a BW goal, Samper had a second goal on an assist by freshman Kayla Ross (Gambrills, Md./Arundel) and Hewes scored on a free position shot as the home Yellow Jackets led 10-7 at intermission.
- Webster scored 32 seconds into the second half and assisted on a Mattone goal as R-MC took a 12-7 lead with under 24 minutes left. BW would net the next two scores before Hynson, Webster and Henderson would add goals to make it 15-9 with three minutes remaining. After a BW goal, Ross would score with 11 seconds left to make the final 16-10.
