Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Junior Erin Mattone (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) scored a pair of second-half goals as the Randolph-Macon women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-5 decision at No. 14 Mary Washington on Wednesday afternoon.

How It Happened
- The Eagles dominated the first half, building a 12-0 advantage. UMW had a 20-4 advantage in shots. The Yellow Jackets won six of the 13 draw controls.
- Mattone scored 1:30 into the second half on an assist by junior Natalie Webster (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian). Following a goal by the Eagles, junior Kaylyn Hewes (Linthicum, Md./North County) scored and was assisted by senior Mary Castle (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis). After another score by UMW, Mattone and Castle had consecutive goals for the Yellow Jackets. Sophomore Lily Henderson (Manakin-Sabot, Va./St. Catherine's) assisted on Mattone's second goal. Following a pair of Eagle goals, junior Bella Samper (Spring, Texas/Klein Oak) netted a goal on an assist by Castle. The Eagles had the last goal of the game, as both teams tallied five goals in the second half to make the final score 17-5.
